The 2026 Outdoors RV Timber Ridge 28RES (often referred to interchangeably with “REST” for Rear Entertainment/Slide configurations) is an all-new floorplan for the 2026 model year. True to the Outdoors RV (ORV) DNA, it is a rugged, heavy-duty travel trailer built specifically for four-season boondocking and off-grid, off-road exploration.
Its standout design feature is a meticulously laid-out rear living area built around a perfect, direct-view entertainment setup—fixing the awkward viewing angles common in many RV designs.
Notable Highlights & Features
1. The Perfect View Living Space
The “RES” designation shines in the rear living room. It features a massive slide-out housing a mountain dinette and either a sleeper sofa or optional theatre seating recliners. Directly across from the seating is a 50″ swing-out flat-screen TV (with an optional fireplace below), meaning you don’t have to crane your neck to watch a movie.
2. Built for All Four Seasons
Like all ORV products, this unit is engineered for extreme weather. It includes a 35K BTU climate-designed furnace, a heated and enclosed underbelly, 12V heat pads on the freshwater tank, and sleek, frameless thermal pane windows to keep the cold out and the heat in.
3. Off-Road & Off-Grid Ready
Suspension: Built on a rugged 8-inch chassis with heavy-duty 5,200 lb double axles, Goodyear ST235/80/16E tires, and high ground clearance.
Off-Grid Power: Comes standard with a 12V “Off-Grid” 10.7 cu. ft. refrigerator and a standard 400-watt solar package, expandable via factory options to 600-watt or 1,000-watt advanced solar setups paired with a “No Boundaries” battery rack capable of holding up to 4 batteries.
4. Residential Comforts
Kitchen: Mountain Lodge-inspired kitchen with a sunken stainless steel range, microwave, high-rise faucet, and a large pantry.
Bathroom: A spacious dual-entry bathroom featuring a neo-angled shower, solid surface counter-tops, and an under-mount metal sink.
Bedroom: A private front master bedroom with a premium cooling gel-infused memory foam queen bed and substantial wardrobe storage.
Trim Series Packages
You will generally find this model offered in two distinct packages:
Mountain Series: The standard, highly capable baseline trim that includes the rugged off-road chassis, four-season insulation, and 400W solar.
Titanium Series: The premium, luxury trim. Choosing the Titanium variant adds high-end features like a 4-point automatic levelling system, premium Lamilux 4000 high-gloss silver fiberglass exterior, wireless rear and side-marker camera systems, upgraded knotty alder cabinet doors, and LG solid-surface counter-tops throughout.
