The 2026 Keystone Montana High Country 290RL is a premium, mid-profile fifth wheel designed for “lighter luxury.” It strikes a balance between a shorter, more towable length and the high-end residential features the Montana line is famous for.
Interior Layout & Living
The “RL” stands for Rear Living, a layout that prioritizes a wide-open social space at the back of the coach.
Rear Entertainment: A large 50″ 4K Smart TV sits above a 5,000 BTU decorative fireplace. The sound system is powered by a JBL Audio 2.1 system with a wireless subwoofer.
Seating: Features the Thomas Payne Collection, including theater seating with power recliners and a tri-fold hide-a-bed sofa for guests.
Chef’s Kitchen: Includes a center island with an oversized stainless steel sink, solid surface countertops, and a 16 cu. ft. 12V refrigerator (with an 18 cu. ft. residential option).
Master Suite: Features a standard King Bed (Queen optional), a massive front wardrobe with washer/dryer prep, and a residential-sized 30″ x 48″ shower with a built-in seat.
Construction & Technology
Four-Season Protection: Tested for 0°F usage, it features a heated and enclosed underbelly, 12V heat pads on holding tanks, and Astrofoil insulation in the floors and front cap.
Keystone Exclusives: Includes Color-coded unified wiring (makes troubleshooting a breeze), Tuf-Lok duct joiners for better airflow, and Starlink Prep for easy satellite internet setup.
MaxTurn Technology: The front cap is designed for an improved turning radius, making it much easier to maneuver in tight campsites despite its size.
Notable 2026 Upgrades
Furrion Chill Cube: Many units are arriving with the high-efficiency 18K BTU Chill Cube main AC system.
Giggy Box: A centralized 12V distribution center that simplifies the electrical system and improves reliability.
Suburban On-Demand Water Heater: No more waiting for a tank to heat up; you get continuous hot water for those longer residential showers.
