The 2024 Coachmen Freedom Express Ultra Lite 246RKS is a versatile, lightweight travel trailer designed for couples or small families who prioritize kitchen space and easy towing. Its “RKS” (Rear Kitchen Slide) designation highlights a layout that maximizes counter-top area and living room flow.
Key Highlights & Features
Rear Kitchen Layout: This is the star of the show. By placing the kitchen at the rear, you get a massive amount of counter space and a dedicated pantry, keeping the cooking area separate from the high-traffic entryway.
Azdel Construction: Like other Ultra Lites in this line, it uses Azdel composite panels in the vacuum-bonded walls. This material is lighter than wood, rot-proof, and provides better insulation.
Living Area: Features a large slide-out containing either a sofa or theater seating, paired with a 76″ booth dinette. This open design makes the 28-foot trailer feel much larger inside.
