The 2026 Forest River Surveyor Legend 19SSLE is a highly popular, lightweight, single-slide travel trailer designed for couples or small families who want a shorter, easily towable rig without sacrificing floor space or modern features.
Floorplan & Layout Highlights
The “SS” in 19SSLE stands for Sofa Slide, which is the secret weapon of this shorter layout.
Front Bedroom: Features a true 60″ x 80″ residential queen bed (no short RV mattress here) framed by dual wardrobes, overhead storage, and an automotive-style tinted front windshield that lets in massive amounts of natural light.
The Slide Out: Houses a comfortable tri-fold sofa that adds immense floor space when extended. It can easily convert into an extra bed to sleep 1–2 guests or kids.
Dining Area: Instead of a traditional bulky booth dinette, it utilizes a space-saving breakfast bar with two stools, sitting right under a large panoramic window.
Rear Bathroom: A full-width rear bath equipped with a standard shower (featuring an upgraded slow-close door), toilet, vanity, and a 4-speed exhaust fan.
Kitchen: Compact but highly efficient with a black stainless steel undermount sink, residential cutting board cover, 2-burner cooktop, convection microwave, and a 10 cu. ft. 12V black glass refrigerator.

Forest River packs the Surveyor Legend line with its Turn Key Camp Essentials Package, making it a great option for extended-season camping.
Construction: Built with Azdel composite side walls (which won’t rot or delaminate like wood luan backing) and a 2″ aluminum-framed floor with block foam insulation.
Extended Season Ready: Features a fully sealed underbelly with forced heat, radiant foil insulation, and 12V heating pads on all holding tanks.
Off-Grid Capabilities: Comes standard with a 200-watt solar panel, a 30-amp solar controller, and factory solar inverter prep.
Convenience Upgrades: Equipped with a tankless water heater (for endless hot showers), a built-in central vacuum system, a power tongue jack with a hitch light, and an integrated Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) spinning on rugged Goodyear tires.
Exterior Features: A 16-foot power awning with an LED light strip, an outdoor hot/cold spray port, an exterior 2″ accessory hitch for bike racks, and large slam-latch pass-through storage baggage doors.
