The 2022 Scout Olympic is a lightweight, minimalist, hard-sided slide-in truck camper manufactured by Adventurer Manufacturing in Yakima, Washington. Designed specifically for full-size trucks (like the Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Chevy Silverado 1500, and Toyota Tundra), it features wood-free composite construction and an aluminum exoskeleton to keep total dry weight down while offering off-grid capabilities.
Key Features & Design Highlights
Wood-Free Composite Construction: Built with gel-coated fiberglass exterior panels, polyurethane foam insulation, and an external aluminum frame. This makes it impervious to rot or water damage over time.
Modular Off-Grid Utilities: Rather than fixed plumbing and heavy built-in appliances, the Scout relies on removable components:
Portable Power: Features an integrated Goal Zero Yeti 1500X power station paired with the roof-mounted 190W solar panel.
Gravity-Fed Water: Employs a 4.9-gallon LifeSaver jerry can with integrated charcoal filtration and a spray wand that feeds directly into the stainless steel sink.
Indoor/Outdoor Cooking: Uses a portable Dometic or ENO two-burner stove with quick-connect LP lines so cooking can take place inside or at a campsite table.
Flexible Sleeping Arrangement: Features a full-size cabover bed (53″ x 80″) and a convertible dinette lounge (34″ x 70″). An optional GFC rooftop tent mounts on top, accessible via an interior ceiling hatch, adding sleeping capacity for up to 3 additional adults.
