The 2026 Keystone Hideout 262BHSWE (Western Edition) is a family-oriented travel trailer designed to maximize sleeping capacity and storage while remaining towable by many half-ton trucks.
The “WE” or Western Edition models are specifically tailored for West Coast campers, often featuring larger fresh water tanks and regional construction adjustments to handle rugged environments.
Key Interior Features
Front Private Bedroom: Features a walk-around Olympic Queen bed (slightly wider than a standard RV queen) with three 16-gallon storage bins integrated underneath.
Rear Bunkhouse: Double-over-double bunks (52″ x 74″) located next to the bathroom, providing plenty of room for kids or guests.
Living Area Slide-out: The single slide houses a booth dinette and a jackknife sofa, both of which convert into extra beds.
Modern Kitchen: Equipped with a 10 cu. ft. 12V refrigerator, a 3-burner gas range, and a convection microwave with air fryer functionality.
Climate Control: Includes a 15,000 BTU ducted A/C and a 30,000 BTU furnace, paired with Keystone’s Blade™ Air Handling System for more efficient cooling.
Exterior & Construction
SolarFlex Ready: Prepped for solar expansion, allowing you to easily add panels for off-grid camping.
Extended Season Prep: Features a one-piece enclosed underbelly and a 42,000 BTU tankless water heater for endless hot water.
Convenience: A 20-foot power awning with LED lighting, power tongue jack, and heavy-duty stabilizer jacks.
Unique Add-ons: This model includes built-in fishing rod holders (4) and an outside shower with hot and cold water.
Why the “WE” Version Matters
If you are looking at the 262BHSWE specifically, the standout feature is the 82-gallon fresh water capacity. Standard travel trailers of this size usually hover around 40 gallons. This makes the Western Edition ideal for “boondocking” or camping in state parks without water hookups.
