The 2021 Lance Camper 650 is specifically engineered as a premium, lightweight truck camper tailored for half-ton (150/1500 series) short-bed trucks with 5’6″ or 6’6″ beds. It is highly regarded because it manages to pack a full kitchen, a wet bath, and comfortable sleeping space into a format that a standard light-duty truck can safely haul without requiring a massive heavy-duty rig.
Core Interior Features
Despite its small footprint, Lance designed this floorplan efficiently to maximize functionality:
Sleeping Area: A north-south cabover layout featuring a deluxe queen-size pillow-top mattress. The U-shaped dinette below can also convert to accommodate a third person.
Kitchen: Outfitted with a 3-cubic-foot refrigerator, a stainless steel 2-burner cooktop, a molded sink with a high-spout faucet, and Euro-ply cabinetry.
Wet Bath: Positioned in the rear corner, it includes a marine foot-pedal toilet, a residential-style shower setup, a black tank flush, and a dual-pane skylight for added headroom.
Four-Season Capabilities: It comes built with ducted heat, block foam insulation, and a tankless water heater, making it highly capable in colder temperatures.
