The Forest River R-Pod Un•Mapped 22RB is a significant departure from the traditional teardrop-style R-Pods. Part of the new “Un•Mapped” series launched for the 2025–2026 model years, it is a larger, half-ton towable travel trailer designed for couples who want more living space without moving into a massive rig.
Standout Features
The “Un•Mapped” series introduces several “first-to-market” features focused on social versatility and modern tech.
Bar2Table System: Instead of a traditional dinette, the kitchen features a bar top with a large flip-up “food truck style” window. This space can be used as a laptop station, a breakfast bar for two, or expanded into a four-person dining table.
TrailGate Outdoor Bar: On the exterior, a drop-down bar area pairs with the flip-up window, allowing you to serve drinks or food directly from the kitchen to people outside.
Custom King Bed: The front bedroom features a 66″ x 80″ bed (often called an Olympic Queen) which is wider than standard RV queens, providing extra comfort without the footprint of a full residential king.
Solar & Power: Comes standard with a 400-watt solar package and a 30-amp charge controller with inverter prep, making it quite capable for off-grid “unmapped” adventures.
Interior Amenities
Kitchen: Equipped with a 12V black glass refrigerator, a convection microwave/air fryer combo (no traditional oven), and seamless Surf-X countertops.
Bathroom: A full rear bath spanning the width of the trailer with a “Nautilus-style” retractable shower door and a central vacuum system.
Climate Control: Features a 15,000 BTU A/C and a tankless on-demand water heater as standard.
Construction & Build
Azdel Composite Walls: Used under the fiberglass for better water resistance and lighter weight.
Extended Season Ready: Includes a sealed underbelly with forced heat, a radiant foil barrier, and 12V tank heaters for cold-weather camping.
Chassis: Built on a Norco huck-bolted frame, which is generally considered more durable and corrosion-resistant than traditional welded I-beams.
