The Outdoors RV Black Stone 280KVS is a heavy-duty, “mountain-tough” travel trailer designed for true four-season camping and off-grid adventures. Built in Oregon, it’s specifically engineered for the rugged terrain and climate of the Western U.S. and Canada.
The “KVS” stands for Kitchen View Slide, highlighting its expansive rear kitchen and dual opposing slides in the living area.
Notable Features
1. Mountain Tough Construction
Unlike standard RVs, Outdoors RV uses a custom-built off-road chassis with KYB gas shock absorbers and 16″ Goodyear Endurance tires. The walls are 2″ bonded aluminum frames with high-gloss fiberglass.
2. True Four-Seasons Prep
Climate Designed: Thermal pane windows are standard.
Insulation: Triple-layered roof insulation and a fully enclosed, heated, and insulated underbelly.
Off-Grid Ready: Most units come with 400W to 1000W of solar power and a 50-amp MPPT controller.
3. Layout Highlights
Rear Kitchen: Offers massive counter space, a deep stainless farm sink, and two pantries.
Opposing Slides: Creates a “great room” feel in the center of the trailer with theater seating/recliners facing a mountain dinette.
